Our story
As a lifelong Francophile and artist as well as Interlochen trained and former Oklahoma Youth Orchestra principal violist — now based in Georgia — Joy Nguyen was beset with wanderlust early on and determined to pursue her dreams of travel. She founded Joy de Voyage™ (Joy of Travel), LLC and is Georgia and Oklahoma's haute travel connoisseur. With Paris as her favorite city and a deep respect for the cultures she encounters, she specializes in designing French-inspired escapes as well as especial and highly customized retreats.

She was blessed to study several times in France — from Champagne and Provence to Côte d'Azur — as well as Austria and spend over a decade serving and living in Germany. Joy also studied in Asia and Africa and speaks French and German, now learning Vietnamese. She has traveled extensively from across Europe to Africa, the Middle East, and Asia to South America to 60 countries. She is a member of the American Society of Travel Advisors (ASTA) and Wed Society. Additionally, upon suffering an unexpected stroke several years back, Joy owes her full recovery to God’s incredible grace.

Joy effortlessly combines her natural artistry with her technical expertise, having led international engagements for many years with foreign partners in Europe, Africa, and Asia (to include directly on the ground and also as a French interpreter). Her distinctive combination of talents affords Joy’s clients unparalleled insights and experience that deeply enrich their every journey.
(Joy also holds certification as a Foreign Area Officer and Master’s degrees in International Relations and Strategic Intelligence as well as IATA’s Foundation in Travel and Tourism Diploma.)
