Markets Served (USA Only with exceptions*)

Currently jo•vage travel services are only available within the United States as well as for Americans serving overseas with the federal government (i.e. military service members and diplomats, etc). We serve residents in the US who hold American passports. However, our services are not presently available within all 50 states. Though we are working to serve every State in the US, we currently do not offer our travel planning services to residents of California, Florida, Hawaii, Illinois, Louisiana, or Washington. Review our Joy de Voyage LLC Terms and Conditions for additional general details. (Joy de Voyage LLC owns both Joy de Voyage™ and jo•vage®.)

For states that we do serve, we will provide jo•vage Terms and Conditions for your specific trip. As always, please reach out with any questions.

*However, our downloadable curated itineraries are available for purchase within the United States as well as Canada.

Payment & Credit Card Authorization

For jo•vage bookings, a Credit Card Authorization form is required. You will then see separate charges for jo•vage itinerary planning services (from Joy de Voyage, LLC) and separate charge(s) for bookings made (with the latter being charged directly to your card).

In the case of third party suppliers, bookings will only be made upon express approval from the client and the client’s agreement of any third party suppliers respective Terms and Conditions.

Travel Insurance

jo•vage currently offers travel insurance through Faye. However, jo•vage is NOT a licensed insurance agency nor insurer (thus not licensed to transact insurance) and cannot evaluate or give any advice on travel insurance or travel insurance policies. We highly recommend that clients purchase travel insurance through our agency or on their own in case of any unforeseen disruptions or circumstances impacting their travel plans or trip, especially as our services are non-refundable. Finally, it may also be worth exploring “Cancel for Any Reason (CFAR)” add-on travel insurance benefit (though keep in mind timelines requirements to add this). We always recommend discussing specific travel insurance options and questions with a licensed insurance agent/agency.

Itineraries

Our curated jo•vage itineraries listed in our Shop are created through Joy’s personal travels, experience and research to the cities or areas we choose to publish. Joy has not necessarily stayed, dined or shopped at every specific property mentioned. However every place or business listed is somewhere Joy would herself stay or explore on a future trip. Furthermore, regarding the suggestions at the closing of her itineraries, those are general suggestions — although it is important to note that Joy is not necessarily an expert regarding each type of advice listed (for example, Joy is not a cyber security expert). Thus these are general suggestions and not necessarily authoritative expert recommendations. Please contact us with any questions or concerns.

Airfare Bookings

As an IATAN non-ticketing travel agency, we do not currently book airfare. Accordingly, we are not responsible for any delays, cancellations, disruptions, et cetera to a client’s self-procured airfare booking. It is solely the client’s responsibility to book their own airfare, identify and adapt to any changes regardless of which jo•vage travel planning service they select. However, we may be able to provide assistance with planning air travel and as a courtesy will monitor our clients’ booked airline flights and apprise them of any changes or disruptions we may notice.

However, we can engage our preferred partners and suppliers for private jet (and occasionally commercial) air travel options. But again, jo•vage is not liable for clients’ airfare or addressing any changes to their flights. We can discuss more specifics regarding airfare with each client per their trip. We are also working to incorporate airfare ticketing services in the future.

Accommodations

When it comes to lodging we primarily book hotels with our preferred properties or those that meet our exclusive criteria. However, we always prioritize our client’s unique travel vision and will book other properties if that better aligns with their preference.

Ground Transportation, Tour & Experience Bookings:

We can make ground transportation arrangements as well as arrange tours and experiences. Please contact us for more details.

Cruise Bookings

We generally do not offer large ship cruise bookings. However, this type of transport, especially on smaller vessels, might be possible for us to arrange. We currently sell the Ritz Carlton Yacht Collection sailings as well as select French waterway and private yacht sails. (We can also refer our Clients to specialized Cruise Travel Specialists through our exclusive Travel Advisor Referral program.) Please contact us for additional details.

jo•vage is not affiliated with The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, L.L.C. or its affiliates. Cruises are provided by Cruise Yacht OpCo Ltd and Next-Gen Cruises Ltd both doing business with The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, which operate under a license agreement with The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, L.L.C.

Preferred Partner & Supplier Itinerary and/or Bookings

jo•vage fees do not apply for portion(s) of travel planned (and booked) via select partner companies or our preferred suppliers. Our fees apply only to our own exclusive research, itinerary creation and any bookings — as well as any outreach to (and direct engagement with) our preferred partners or suppliers. (We will not double charge you, i.e. we will not charge any of our own fees on top of what our partners or suppliers might research, propose, or book for you.)

Travel Advisor & Agency Certification

jo•vage is an independent travel agency with prestigious IATAN accreditation. Founder and owner, Joy Nguyen, is also an American Society of Travel Advisors (ASTA) member, has completed ASTA’s requisite Verified Travel Advisor (VTA) courses and holds IATA’s Travel and Tourism Diploma Certificate. She also adheres to ASTA’s Code of Ethics.

jo•vage is not liable for any errors and/or omissions regarding our customized itinerary planning and/or bookings.
